Post 9: Future
Hi bloggers: Today's post is about one of the free topics you chose some time ago: The Future. Actually, I'm not sure what you meant for that: Is it referred to your professional future? personal one? the future world? I don't know. Anyway, I'll tell you about what I thought about my future when I was your age. At that time I expected to develop my professional career at a high level in a very demanding institution. Perhaps that's why I was never interested in working at schools. I wanted to teach at higher education. Now , I must say I'm pleased with my professional development, since I've worked in the best 2 Chilean universities , besides teaching in some of the most important banks and companies in Santiago dealing with very highly demanding managers and CEOS very successfully. What about you? What do you expect from your future? What are your goals in life? Use 190 words and don't forget to leave comments on 3 of your classmates' blogs and mine too. C.U.

Post 8 : A subject you enjoyed this semester
Hi guys : How have you been doing? Too much work? We are approaching the term end , so it must be tiring, right? I suppose you've got to study for all your subjects and try to pass them all. I remember in my experience, the most difficult subjects I had to study was English: , written , oral and phonetics. They had 20 credits most of the time. So it was bloody difficult and demanding! What about you? How many subjects have you had this term? What is your favourite one? What type of subject was it,? I mean, did you have to do practical or theoretical activities? Was it hard or easy? What were the main contents you've seen in that subject? Why did you like it: was it because of the contents? teacher? schedule? Use 180 words and don't forget to leave comments on 3 of your classmates'posts besides mine too. See you.

Post 7 : A career-related website or an expert in your field
Hi guys : Today I 'll tell you about 2 favourite websites I visit almost daily: www.youtube.com and www.ted.com. I like them because in the first one I can find lots of material for my classes, many tutorials about other things I'm interested in, such as : old films, documentaries, foreign languages etc whereas in the second one, I can find lots of lectures on very different topics - science, technology, politics, arts, etc given by very important professors, researchers that are quite relevant and outstanding in these days. What about you? Do you have any favourite website? This week you've got 2 options to choose ONE to write about. The first one is about a career related website you enjoy visiting. You have to provide the link, describe the website, say how often you visit it, explain why you like it. The second one is about an expert on your field that you admire. Say who he/she is,what he/she has done, why you like him/her, include his/her image. Don't forget to add comments to 3 of your classmates’ blogs and a comment on your teacher's as well. Use 170 words.

Post 6 : Travelling
Hi bloggers: Today you're going to write about one of the free topics you chose to write about : Travelling. This topic has been always fascinating for me, since I was a little girl. Actually when I was a teenager, it became a kind of obsession to travel as far as possible , not only to know different geographical places, but to meet different people with different cultures, languages, habits, food, etc.etc. Basically I wanted to know how different peoples did things in this world. Fortunately, my dream has become partially true because I've been able to visit extremely different countries, such as:Brazil and the UK. I think I've been also very lucky , since I've had the possibility of visiting many countries while living with the locals in their homes and not as typical tourists. That way in Latinamerica I've been to Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, whereas in Europe I've visited several countries from Spain in the south to Denmark in the north. It's difficult to say what my favourite
country is because each one has a lot of amazing things, but among my prefered ones are Scotland, England, Spain and Italy. What about you? Have you travelled? Where? If not, would you like to? Why / Why not? Tell me about it. Use 160 words. Don't forget to leave comments on my blog and on 3 of your classmates. CU soon.

Post 5 : My favourite photograph
Hi bloggers : I've got several favourite photos, but this one is particularly special to me , since it reminds me of my best New year's Eve. it was taken on the way to Venice , Italy on December 31, 1993. I was with some very good Italian friends: (from left to right, Paco, myself, Luna , Anna and Fabio) .While travelling in two cars, midnight caught us in the middle of the highway, fireworks were set off and all cars stopped in the middle of the highway, , people you'd never seen before started to hug each other,, wishing you a very happy new year. It was amazing !! Everybody took out lots of bottles of any drink and .toasted. . I don't remember who took this picture , but it was a very good celebration. What about you? Do you like photos? Why? I'm sure you must have a favourite picture. Today I'll ask you to upload and write about a photograph you like and say who took it? What does it show? When was it taken? Why do you like it? Include any other information you'd like to mention.Write at least 150 words. Don't forget to add comments to my blog and 3 of your classmates’ ones. C U soon.

Post 4 : A free-themed topic : Hobbies
Hi bloggers: Today's post is the first one you chose to write about : Hobbies. Well, actually , hobby is defined as a regular activity you do in your free time. So from that viewpoint, I can say my main hobbies are : swimming - although I don't do it as regularly as I should- watching European films as well as documentary films I find in Netflix or different websites. I do these acitivities at least once a week, at weekends normally by myself. Also I love reading novels based on true events, especially historic ones. However, I due to my short free time, I usually do it on holidays. Another activity that could be considered a hobby is going to the theatre: I really enjoy plays, but good ones : classical ones or with good playwrights. What about you ? what are your hobbies? How often do you do them? or practice them? Use 140 words and don't forget to leave comments on 3 of your classmates and my own blog too. C U . Have a nice weekend.

Post 3 : My favourite piece of technology
Hi everyone : Although my generation had to get used to technology and internet all of a sudden, I - personally , have become very dependant on it: I can't imagine planning a class without a computer and internet, for instance. The same happens when thinking about my free time: a smart tv and a smartphone have become indispensable objects that I use everyday during working days or holidays. Therefore, if I'm asked about my favourite piece of technology, I'd definitely say , my computer. I use it to work, watch series, browse for internet information (much faster than doing it on a tv set) also contact my foreign friends via skype, etc.etc. . What about you? What is your most indispensable piece of technology? I mean the one you can't imagine your studies, work or life without. Write about that / those piece (s) of technology explaining why they are so important to you. Describe them and the different things you do with it, etc. Use a mínimum of 140 words. Don't forget to leave comments on my blog and 3 of your classmates' too. . See you.

Post 2 : Why did you choose your career?
Hi bloggers: When I was at school I used to dream about becoming a simultaneous interpreter at the United Nations in New York, since I 've always enjoyed learning foreign languages and, mainly because I was only 16 years old at that time. So my decision was crystal clear , I had to study Translation at Universidad Católica - the only place to study it at that time. However, 3 months before taking the test , the career was closed. I was devastated because that was my only option. Finally , I decided to enter English Teaching and then change to Translation internally. I was admitted , BUT to change to Translation was almost impossible. Then , after getting depressed, a teacher helped me to understand that I had to go on with teaching, since a teacher can do both things: translating and teaching, whereas a translator can't work as a teacher. From then on, I started enjoying this career. I think I've been successful with it and can do both activities without any problems. What about you? What were your dream jobs when you were a child? Did you have any other options that you had at the moment of applying to university? What made you decide in the end? What about your experience at university until now? What kind of job would you like to have in the future? Use 130 words and don't forget to leave comments on 3 of your classmates' blogs and also your teacher's. See you.

Hi bloggers: How is it going today? Fine? Good! Today we're going to start blogging and I hope you enjoy it just as I do. Well, the blog we have for this week is to write about yourselves, that is, an autobiography. I can say that personally, I was born in Santiago a veeery looong time ago. My family is very small: just my mum and a younger sister, who is a journalist. My father died some years ago . My main hobbies are swimming, travelling, watching films, reading and clubbing with some friends. What about you? Include information about your birth, studies, family, hobbies and any other information you consider important. Use 120 words minimum and don't forget to make comments on three of your classmates' blogs. C U.
